About the Office of Communications
The California Conservation Corps Office of Communications provides timely and relevant information that educates the public, potential recruits, media, lawmakers and CCC team members on our policies, projects, and successes. The Office of Communications coordinates media and public outreach; develops and disseminates public information via news releases, media advisories, and website and social media postings; arranges media interviews; and is responsible for the CCC brand and marketing.
Zeontae Young saw the damage from 2018's fire season and decided he was going to help. He enrolled in the CCC and says the experience has helped him grow and learn.
Planting 100 acres with plants along a river bank is exhausting work. CCC San Diego Corpsmembers say knowing they're making a difference makes the hard work worth it.
Andre Dickerson joined the CCC to get his life started off right and to pay for college. Andre plans on using CCC scholarships to help pay for his education.
Joining the CCC can have its up and downs. Corpsmember Nataly Landeros has experienced it, but has a goal in sight thanks to the scholarship money she's earning.
Los Angeles Center Corpsmembers spent months enhancing Peck Road Water Conservation Park with new trails, rock walls, and hundreds of plants. It’s one of the crown jewel parks in the Emerald Necklace project; a vision to improve communities, increase sustainability, and embrace our natural resources.
