About the Office of Communications
The California Conservation Corps Office of Communications provides timely and relevant information that educates the public, potential recruits, media, lawmakers and CCC team members on our policies, projects, and successes. The Office of Communications coordinates media and public outreach; develops and disseminates public information via news releases, media advisories, and website and social media postings; arranges media interviews; and is responsible for the CCC brand and marketing.

Delta Center Corpsmembers are building thousands of feet of a new trail in El Dorado County. When finished, the Monroe Ridge Connector Trail will connect a state park with a county park.

Placer Corpsmember Peter Shao didn't know what to expect when he joined the CCC. Now, he expects to work hard and stay motivated to do the best job he can as a member of a Placer Center fire crew.

Los Padres Center Corpsmembers tasked with reducing the threat of falling trees in the Sierra Nevada have been in long hours felling trees. Most recently, a crew worked in around campgrounds and trails in Kings Canyon National Park.

Corpsmembers have different motivations for joining the CCC. Inland Empire Corpsmember Engracia Cortes' motivation is her family, especially her six-year-old son.

Placer Corpsmember Graham Fuller says he's never found a more worthwhile job than being a wildland firefighter in the CCC.
