Peter Shao admits when he joined the CCC he didn’t know what to expect.

But after a few weeks at the CCC Placer Center, Peter figured out wildland firefighting is his call.

He’s throwing himself into the work, learning everything he can about firefighting and doesn’t blink at the physical challenge that hits him head on every day.
