Tent Camps
Tent Camps have long been a part of the California Conservation Corps. These mobile, temporary operations are used to address environmentally critical projects in remote, hard to reach areas.
In recent years, the CCC operated the Yosemite Tent Camp in the Stanislaus National Forest. Corpsmembers spent six months dedicated to Rim Fire Restoration work, including the planting of seedlings and trees, felling small trees identified by the U.S. Forest Service, and removing vegetation from around seedlings to ensure they get water.
