It’s what happened to CCC Chico Corpsmember Eric Schreiber during his five-plus months in the Backcountry Trails Program.

With no electronics available, all Eric could do was improvise – with a ukulele.

He’s back home now, working to the hum of his chainsaw as he makes a difference in his hometown.
