Departmental Open / Non-Promotional Statewide Exams

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for all of the examinations below. Cut-off dates (final filing dates) will be established and announced with adequate time for applicants to complete and submit an application before each administration of the exam.

Click on the bulletin to access the link to take the exam. Please read the instructions, including the minimum qualifications and submit an application before taking the exam. Exams will be processed on a weekly basis and/or upon receipt of your application.

Conservationist 2 Exam Bulletin (PDF)
The cut-off date to submit an application was May 5, 2023. Applications received or postmarked after this date will be held until the next administration of the exam which will be in the spring of 2024.

Administrative Officer 1, Resources Agency (PDF)
The cut-off date to submit an application to take this exam was January 26, 2024. Applications received or postmarked after this date will be held until the next administration of the exam. The next cut-off date will be in January 2025.

The next cut-off date for the Administrative Officer 2, Resources Agency exam is January 31, 2024. Applications received or postmarked after this date will be held until the next cut-off date.
