Corpsmember Story: Haley Matsukiyo

Pomona Corpsmember Haley Matsukiyo uses her hands, encased in leather gloves, to carefully plant a cactus plant along Highway 133 in Orange County.

Haley Matsukiyo may have joined the  CCC Pomona Center to help pay her bills and to work outdoors, but she’s found much more in the program.

Haley found a passion making a difference in the environment, whether it’s fire camp support or planting cactus on the side of a highway.

She plans to turn her CCC experience into a lifetime of improving our environment.
