Anderson Canal Cleanup

Shasta Cascade Corpsmember Aza Bravo stokes a pile of burning debris with a McLeod to keep the fire going. Burn piles were used to burn off storm debris.

Winter storms left parts of Shasta County battered and bruised.

Downed trees and storm debris cluttered the Anderson-Cottonwood Irrigation District’s canals and blocked water from flowing to crops.

Corpsmembers from the Shasta Cascade center answered the call to clear the canals allowing water to reach farms in time for the growing season.
