At first she didn’t quite know what a wildland firefighter did, but after a month at the CCC Camarillo Center Victoria De Leon Ramires knew she found her calling.

Victoria works as her crew’s squad boss, passing along orders from their CAL FIRE captain and keeping her crew’s spirits up and work focused.
