Crew Leader Oscar Nuño discusses radio communications with members of his Placer 2 Fire Crew,

Across California, it’s been a treacherous fire season and year. The most recent major fires are now contained, but crews are still working.

We want to introduce you to one of the young adults of the CCC who helped fight some of these fires. Crew Leader Oscar Nuño responded with his crew to the Camp Fire, as well as the Klamathon Fire in July.

We caught up with Oscar as Placer Fire 1 and 2 were wrapping up work on the Sliger Fire, burning in El Dorado County, late in the summer. Oscar believes he and his crew are performing a good deed by helping protect their fellow Californians.
