Crews assist at Oroville dam evacuation shelters

Six CCC crews are currently helping Monday with the set-up and staffing of evacuation shelters for those leaving Butte County communities in the wake of the Oroville Dam evacuation orders.

The shelters are at Cal Expo in Sacramento and the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland. One crew is also assisting with a commodity staging area at the Chico Airport.

The crews are from centers in Auburn, Chico and Redding. Additional crews are available for dispatch where needed.​
