CCC Butte wildland firefighters helping reduce the threat of wildfires in local communities during their off season.

Long before flames break out and threaten homes, CCC Corpsmembers are working to protect you and your community. Wildland firefighting hand crews spend the “off season” reducing the threat of wildfire in their communities.

It may be as simple as removing brush, or as complex as felling hazard trees. The work in the winter and early spring means CCC Butte Fire Center Corpsmembers are making Magalia safer come summer and fall.
