Exploring and Working in Scenic Bay Area Parks

CCC Siskiyou corpsmembers using shovels to remove dirt from a drain

A trip to the Bay Area, for many, is a welcomed vacation.

For CCC Siskiyou Corpsmembers the view, terrain and weather was certainly a treat, but they also had plenty of work to do.

The crew from the Northstate recently spent a few weeks with State Parks in the North Bay, including a weeklong assignment on Angel Island where Corpsmembers helped reduce the threat of wildfire and risk of flooding.

Where else but the CCC can you work on an island, enjoy the view, and make a difference?
