Norwalk Solar Powered Street Lights

Four Norwalk Energy Corpsmembers work as a team to install a solar panel atop a street light on the campus of Norwalk State Hospital.

The CCC Energy Corps is expanding its Corpsmembers’ skill sets. Not only do energy crews upgrade and retrofit lighting, they’re also harnessing the power of the sun.

At Norwalk Energy Hub, Corpsmembers improved the grounds at Norwalk State Hospital by installing solar powered street lights.

The batteries are heavy, safety is always a first thought, and the lights can be tricky to put together, but these Corpsmembers make it look easy.
