Corpsmembers Help Keep Northstate Destination Accessible for All

Redding Corpsmember Tristan Beck La Favor, right, works to place a native rock along the edge of a trail at Lassen Volcanic National Park.

It may be one of California’s lesser known national parks, but Lassen Volcanic National Park certainly draws its fair share of visitors.

Making this Northstate destination accessible for all Californians to visit and enjoy required the help of CCC Redding Corpsmembers.

The young adults from Shasta County spent several weeks rehabilitating and improving some heavily used trails in the park.

Now, learning the history of the park and taking in its incredible views—yes that’s snow still on the ground in the summer—is a lot smoother, and safer.
