Reducing the potential for fires is a year-round job in the CCC. Tahoe Center Corpsmembers were recently in the Cold Creek area of South Lake Tahoe removing underbrush and felling trees.

Taking down trees is a careful process, where safety is top of mind. It’s a complex skill, and one Corpsmembers are driven to master because of their passion for preserving our forests.
