Hamilton City Flood Response

Chico and Fortuna Center Corpsmembers unload plastic muscle wall pieces from a flatbed truck. Corpsmembers used the muscle wall to help protect portions of Hamilton City in Glenn County.

Heavy rains and high waters led to major flooding issues across Northern California.

On Wednesday, CCC crews from Napa, Chico, and Fortuna responded to communities in Yolo and Glenn Counties.

In Yolo County, Napa Center Corpsmembers filled sandbags as Cache Creek topped the levee in the community of Yolo.

In Hamilton City in Glenn County, Corpsmembers filled sandbags, laid plastic sheeting called visqueen, and built muscle walls to prevent rising waters from causing damage.
