The days have been difficult in California with fires burning on both ends of the state, and thousands of people losing their homes, dozens of people dead, and hundreds unaccounted for.

Nearly 400 California Conservation Corps staff and Corpsmembers are working fire lines, supporting base camp operations and prepping for flooding and mudslides.

The devastation did not skip the CCC. Twelve staff and six Corpsmembers lost their homes when the Camp Fire tore through Paradise. Many more remain evacuated.

Corpsmembers continue to work; remain dedicated to supporting their communities and responding where emergency help is needed.
