Corpsmembers Trained, Ready for Any Winter Floods

Corpsmembers from the Sacramento Center chain sandbags during flood fighter training near Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA.

Winter storms and atmospheric rivers seem like nearly yesterday.

As the New Year approaches, so too does the opportunity for more flooding across California.

If and when that happens, California Conservation Corps Corpsmembers are ready for the call to fill sandbags, protect levees, and serve their communities.

All of our 25 centers have once again trained their teams to respond to flood emergencies.

For some Corpsmembers, they come with experience responding to real calls, while others are excited for the opportunity to make a difference.
