The California Conservation Corps‘ impact is felt not only in the rural areas of State Parks and National Forests, or the urban centers of mega cities like Los Angeles. Every day towns see significant benefit and impact of the projects completed by Corpsmembers, like the City of Reedley in Fresno County.
CCC Fresno Corpsmembers are helping protect important infrastructure, neighborhoods, and improving general access by clearing overgrown vegetation and creating fire breaks along the Kings River. While we call it fuel reduction, cities call it an affordable benefit to their residents

Talk about big impact in smaller towns! In the City of Reedley, which hosted our CCC 50th Anniversary Golden State Bus Tour, CCC Fresno Corpsmembers are making a big difference protecting infrastructure and neighborhoods from wildfire by removing overgrown vegetation and improving access along the Kings River.
