2025 Graduation
Inland Empire Corpsmember Daniel Zarate reads his graduation essay at the CNRA Headquarters Auditorium as part of the CCC’s 2025 Statewide Graduation ceremony.
In the California Conservation Corps, young adults get paid to train – and earn their high school diploma. With the help of charter school partners and CCC staff, success is within reach.
“I lost motivation during COVID, didn’t know what to do,” said Corpsmember Alex Flores. “Then I found the CCC, and it was perfect for me.”
In addition to spending 40-hours per week training for meaningful careers – in culinary, forestry, firefighting, and other environmental fields – Corpsmembers spend an additional 10 hours per week in class to complete their schooling.
A Job Well Done
San Diego Corpsmember Beatriz Mancillas walks the graduation procession line and shakes hands with CCC leadership as part of CCC’s 2025 Statewide Graduation.
“What got me through it was the motivation everyone kept throwing at us,” said Corpsmember Samantha Jijon. “The teacher would always support us and everybody in the CCC just pushes each other to keep going forward.”
The extra hours are worth the reward. This year, more than 60 Corpsmembers walked across stage during graduation. With a diploma in hand and experience on their resume, they’re ready to chase their dreams.
Their achievement highlights how it’s never too late to transform your life.
