Veterans’ Preference

Preference can be applied to a veteran’s eligibility for qualifying open and open, non-promotional examinations.
Limited Examination & Appointment Program (LEAP)
The California Conservation Corps encourages people with disabilities to apply for jobs with us.
LEAP can help people with disabilities get jobs with the State of California. LEAP is an alternative to the traditional testing process, and is a voluntary option for people with disabilities.
An applicant may choose to have dual eligibility meaning they take the traditional test and the LEAP test and can choose at the time of hire which method they would like to get hired.
