You can call it an opportunity, a perk, or just being advantageous. Corpsmembers also call it an honor to get paid while they train and earn their Emergency Medical Technician, or EMT, certification.
CCC Inland Empire Corpsmembers recently completed an accelerated course in partnership with San Bernardino Community College District.
It’s an opportunity not available to all who enroll in the CCC, so this group knows they’ve got to study hard and pay attention to earn a certificate that can boost their resume and firefighting careers.
It’s a perk putting them on a path to success!
Studying for Success
Corpsmembers enrolled in the EMT training take part in a lecture one day per week and hands-on skill training on a second day.
