Pomona Corpsmember Samantha Alarcon uses a chain saw to cut up potential fire fuel as part of a burn pile construction project near Skyforest, CA in San Bernardino County.

During times of wildfire, we express our thanks and gratitude to our CCC wildland firefighters.

During the high’s and low’s of training, project work, and fire incidents, they’re thankful for the young adults working next to them.

It truly takes a crew to push through the pain of long-distance, and steep grade, hikes.

Joining a CCC fire crew isn’t easy. The comradery on CCC Pomona 1 Fire Crew though, that does come easy as these young adults push their limits, grow their skills, and work together to make each other’s goals come true.
