CCC Corpsmembers sort and distribute supplies to survivors of the Lahaina Fire as part of an AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team mission.

After losing everything in one of the most devastating fires in U.S. history, any bit of supplies and support is appreciated. Over the last six weeks, Corpsmembers from CCC’s Tahoe, Placer, Sacramento, and Redding crews have been working with Lahaina Fire survivors. It’s intimate and a deeply personal experience. Learning of their loss and helping fulfill their needs by supplying things as minor as plates and utensils and as major as food, medicines, and clothing. It’s an experience the Corpsmembers described as moving and inspiring.
