WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT HIRING THE CALIFORNIA CONSERVATION CORPS
SMUD called on the California Conservation Corps to do a massive rehabilitation of its public trails around Loon Lake in California’s Desolation Wilderness and says it couldn’t be more pleased with, nor more proud of its partnership with the CCC.
The Mt. View Sanitary District’s Moorhen Marsh re-opened to the public in spring 2019. The CCC helped build a new viewing platform and boardwalk to make it easier for school kids and birdwatchers to get around. It’s an example of how local utility and sanitation districts can accomplish projects they might not otherwise be able to afford by hiring the CCC’s Corpsmembers to provide labor while receiving training that can lead to meaningful careers. The MVSD says it is excited about the great partnership with CCC’s Delta Center.

When Incredible Edible Community Garden needed help planting trees for its tribute to America’s veterans, the directors put their trust in the California Conservation Corps. If you would like to hire a crew for your next governmental agency or non-profit project use the region info below to locate and contact a regional director for your area to discuss timeframe and project requirements. The CCC does not work on personal, residential, or for-profit projects.
Region 1 includes: Yreka, Fortuna, Redding, Magalia Fire Center, Chico, Ukiah, Auburn, and Solano.
Region 2 includes: San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Camarillo, Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Pomona, Lake Elsinore, and San Diego.
Region 3 includes: Tahoe, Greenwood, Sacramento, Stockton, Monterey Bay, Fresno, Norwalk, and Vista. Sacramento, Norwalk and Vista are also Energy Centers. Fresno is both an Energy Center and a regular center.
