Hiring the CCC’s Energy Corps Program for Energy Surveys or Retrofits

These female Corpsmembers from the Vista Energy Satellite are conducting an energy survey in a school.

The CCC Energy Corps provides the following services for schools and public agencies:

Energy Surveys

A supervised and trained crew of up to 10 corpsmembers conduct surveys of schools and public buildings using the Energy Corps’ tablet collection tool. The whole-building dataset is based on industry standards for energy audits (ASHRAE standards and approaches ASHRAE 2.0 level minus data logging). Energy Corps crews do a comprehensive survey of lighting, plug load, and building condition. Photos of every fixture are taken and included in the data set which are checked before being transmitted to the agency.

A supervised and trained crew of 8-10 corpsmembers performs lighting and controls retrofits.

If you are a Local Education Agency (LEA) interested in the CCC’s Energy Corps Prop. 39 services:
The CCC is funded by State Prop. 39 to provide energy-efficiency services at low or no cost to LEAs. If the LEA is within a commute distance (1 hour or 60 miles) of an Energy Corps location, the project may be no cost. For LEAs at further distance, the CCC charges for travel expenses.

LEAs can allocate and charge their Prop. 39 planning dollars for this purpose without impacting the LEAs project implementation funds.
