Corpsmember Story: Rickey Williams

Rickey Williams wanted to be a firefighter. Not just any kind of firefighter, but an elite Type I wildland firefighter.

At the CCC Butte Fire Center he found the experience and opportunity to jump start his firefighting career.

Rickey responded to some of the state’s largest and most devastating blazes, including the Thomas and Camp fires.

It’s hard work that he says paid off. In fact, Rickey is headed to Butte County Fire Station #22 in the Community of Cohasset.
