Crewleader Cece Pineda helps pull downed tree limbs into a wood chipper near Montaña de Oro State Park in Los Osos, CA.

Five months with no cell phone, no shower, and almost no contact with the outside world. Everyday you’re hiking up mile after mile and doing physical, exhausting work.

Corpsmember Cece Pineda calls it her favorite experience in the CCC. More importantly, the work helped her find career opportunities and direction.

Cece’s service in the CCC is coming to an end, but her commitment to making California an even better place for all is just getting started.
