The Pomona Center in Los Angeles County was established in 1981 and is based at Lanterman Developmental Center. The center began as a residential center, then became part of the Inland Empire Center. Since 2014, it is once again a full center with 80 nonresidential corpsmembers.
The center's service area reaches the Pomona Valley and San Gabriel Valley and Mountains, as well as Orange County. Work sponsors include California State Parks, Caltrans, the U.S. Forest Service, Orange County and the cities of Pasadena, Azusa, Glendora and Monrovia, just to name a few.
