Education and Training
In addition to emergency response training, Placer corpsmembers receive a two-week orientation to the CCC at the beginning of their year. This allows them to learn the rules and policies of the CCC and Placer Center. Placer, Sacramento and Napa provide training in chain saw, tree felling, brush chippers, the driving of state vehicles, operation of forklifts, construction technology, conservation awareness, career development and various safety trainings. All three Placer Center sites have corpsmembers attending the John Muir Charter School that provides education for high school graduation and GED preparation. All classes are in the afternoon or evening hours after work.

Graduation held in Sacramento in June 2010
